OpenCore MES Sales channels suite: the plant's Shopee and Lazada shops authorized once; orders brought in with their lines, accepted to a job or from stock, made ready with the marketplace's own shipping label and tracking number, followed to delivery; stock sent back to the listings

Free during the launch

Its price after the launch: $1,500, once per plant. A plant that takes it now keeps it, with its updates.

Per plant: one licence covers every installation of that plant (production, test, training), each with a licence token of its own.

Install it

  1. Make a licence token in your account, then in the plant folder:
    flames suite login
  2. Install it, and restart FLAMES:
    flames suite install channels
  3. Its designs are offered in the designer, as a change your plant reviews and approves like any other.

Set it up in your plant

Setting up Sales channels in your plant. Sales channels brings your Shopee and Lazada orders into OpenCore MES: accepted to a job or from stock, made ready with the marketplace's own shipping label and tracking number, followed to delivery; and sends your stock back to the listings. Orders come in every five minutes, even behind your firewall: OpenCore MES asks the marketplaces, they do not have to reach it.

  1. Install itIT

    On the plant's OpenCore MES server, in its plant folder: sign in once with a licence token from your account at suites.opencoremes.com, install the suite, then restart OpenCore MES (opencore-mes start, or the service that runs it). Later versions (a marketplace changed its API) are said in About; take them with opencore-mes suite update channels and a restart: nothing of yours is lost.

    opencore-mes suite login
    opencore-mes suite install channels
  2. Get the marketplaces' app keysIT

    Each marketplace talks only to an app registered with it. Shopee: an account on the Shopee Open Platform (a Seller In-House System app for your own shop), its partner ID and key (a test ID and key in its sandbox, the live ones after Go Live), the redirect domain set to OpenCore MES's address, and the server's IP address in the app's whitelist. Lazada: an Open Platform account and app, its app key and secret, the callback set to OpenCore MES's address followed by /suite/channels/callback/lazada, your shop on the app's authorized sellers.

    • Shopee and Lazada review apps and change their rules: their consoles are the authority. The suite's README records what it was built against.
  3. Set the suite's secretsIT

    In the plant's settings (.env or the service's environment), then restart:

    • Keep MES_SECRET_CHANNELS_KEY: without it the shops' sealed keys cannot be read, and each shop must be connected again.
    MES_SECRET_CHANNELS_KEY=<a long random string: seals each shop's keys>
    MES_SECRET_CHANNELS_PUBLIC_URL=https://mes.plant.example
    MES_SECRET_CHANNELS_SHOPEE_PARTNER_ID=<from Shopee>
    MES_SECRET_CHANNELS_SHOPEE_PARTNER_KEY=<from Shopee>
    MES_SECRET_CHANNELS_LAZADA_APP_KEY=<from Lazada>
    MES_SECRET_CHANNELS_LAZADA_APP_SECRET=<from Lazada>
  4. Try it on a test installation firstIT

    On a test or training installation, load its sample records (Designer → From the suites → Load its sample records), or run the marketplace simulator that comes with the suite and point the hosts at it, and walk an order from new to shipped with the people who will do it. A sandbox and the public demo reach no marketplace: there, nothing is sent.

  5. Prepare People & departmentsAdministrator

    The suite's designs give their roles to the groups production (accepts and ships orders), engineering (manages shops and listings, runs the order sync at once) and quality and it (read). Check those groups have the right people.

  6. Take its designs through a changeDesigner

    Designer → From the suites → Start a change from it. The change holds the shop, listing, order and order line objects, the three moves, the service that brings orders in every five minutes, the ship-by plan and the screens. Change what differs in your plant (how often orders come in, the screens), run the fitness test, submit; it is reviewed and approved by Production.

    • The sample policies (ch_*-samples) let a manager enter shops and orders by hand for samples: remove them in production, where only the channel brings them in.
  7. Connect your shopsDesigner

    Design → Sales channels: pick the shop's region and Connect a Shopee (or Lazada) shop. The shop's owner logs in on the marketplace's own page and authorizes it; they come back to OpenCore MES and the shop is listed. Bring orders in now to see its orders at once. A shop's authorization lasts as long as its owner chose (Shopee: a year at most): connect it again before it runs out.

  8. Map your listingsEngineering

    For each listing a shop sells, enter its seller SKU, the marketplace's item id (and variation id) and your product code (Listings and shops screen). Order lines find their listing by the seller SKU; Push stock sends a listing's quantity to its marketplace.

  9. Run orders through the plantProduction

    Marketplace orders screen: accept a new order (to a job if it is made to order), make it ready when it is packed (Ready to ship: the marketplace arranges the courier and the label prints from the order), and hand it over. Shipped, completed, cancelled and returned come from the marketplace by themselves. On an order's ship-by day, one not ready asks Production.

  10. Push notifications (optional)IT

    Where the marketplaces can reach OpenCore MES from the internet (HTTPS with a CA-issued certificate), set their push address in each console to the one Sales channels shows (…/suite/channels/push/shopee, …/lazada): orders then come in within seconds instead of minutes. Without it, nothing is missed: the five-minute sync brings everything in.

The same guide is in FLAMES once the suite is installed: Designer, From the suites, Set-up guide.
